Sorry, My bad. It's a 1998, 6.5 TD.
I'm not jazzed about the wood either but is removable. It may need a termite inspection as well. 1-800-ORKIN-MAN

Re: 'Nother nooobie.
You need to know if the engine was replaced. Have the owner send it to a dealer (if its PP sale) and have them doing a cooling system pressure test at your expense. This pressure test is a pretty sure fire way of making sure then engine is not bad. A combustion gas leakege test is another must IMO. Also, check for dealer service records. From having owned two H1's I would be very weary of buying a non-dealer serviced truck. I did it with my first rig, and payed alot to bring it up to spec. As far as the wood goes, that actually apears to be Madera Concepts wood trim. Its around 2800.00 uninstalled, so if you do decide to take it out SELL IT!

Re: 'Nother nooobie.
Checking the engine is a must.
Mine came with the rosewood interior and although I didn't like it at first, it has really grown on me. I'd buy that set from you.
$42,000 is too high. What else does it have on it? How much off-road time has it had? What does the underside look like?

Re: 'Nother nooobie.
Tell us about those "farkles". Rocket launcher? Sat phone? Phish finder?

Re: 'Nother nooobie.
Farkles - Nav and DVD system w/front and rear headrest monitors. Everything else seems standard. The underside looks just dusty, I doubt that it has been driven in grass, let alone off the pavement. But the Hummer site shows a night enhancement system I would like to add!!
