h3 vs h2 in speed.
Hey guys. My dad owns a pacific blue h2 and I think for its size its a very quick vehicle (its no ferrari) but it can merge into traffic comfortably and it will surprise people that have never been in a hummer before. Well I recently looked at an h3 (we use our hummers for advertising our business) I felt that it was really slow even with the changes they had made to the engine. I know most hummer owners arent looking around the streets for races. But I read that the 2007 h3's 0-60 and 1/4 mile were better than the 2007 h2's times. I found this hard to believe. So im just wondering if anyone has ever raced their h2 against an h3 and what were the results. If the h3 really quicker than the h2 I will deffinatly get it. I just didnt get the impression that it was when I test drove it. thanks
Russell

I only know of one race that the H3 will win, that's finding a parking spot, and well, maybe doing a u-turn!

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
Hey Russell,
Seeing that your asking this question everywhere and getting the same answers. I would suggest to go rent a H3 and time it on some road, then do the same with the H2.
I have a 3, and I would not run against a 2. I would lose that race. But for a around town or for offroading in the woods, I would take the 3 only because of it size. Small things can get into and out of tight spots.
With that said, I am still selling my 3 and buying a 2 if I can. I like the room and the power the 2 has. I do more road driving than I do offroading and I drive on the highway alot. I like the 2 on the open road.
So whichever you buy, whenever you do. Enjoy the shiat out of it! and post pics for us to see.

Are you kidding? If the H3 is like 0.37 seconds faster than the H2 in the quarter mile... you would actually get the H3? That's got to be the stupidest deciding factor ever, Hummers aren't race cars. If you don't mind me asking, why do you need the faster of the two when the difference is negligible?

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
dude I udnerstand what your saying. Like I said I dont want the h3 to be a ferrari or a porsche. I just want it to be like the h2. If it were anywhere close to the h2 in speed i would be more than happy with it for everyday driving. I just dont want something that unbareably slow (aka the 2003 h1 my dad had) I was driving it once on the highway and a big semi was spitting rocks and i had no other option but to slow down. I just wouldnt want the h3 to be a truck like that where it has no ability to pass on the highway. Believe me half the reason Im getting the h3 is cause im tired of getting to every light and have someone trying to race me.

I have an H2 and my friend has a H3 and I can tell you if there is a large up hill grade he has to pull over to the right. And I just go faster.

Only if the H2 was towing an H3. Unpossible. I speak from experience. Twice. The H3 didn't even come close(And both blingers were quite upset.).
Maybe because mine is an 03.

This is like asking if a Murcielago has more rear wheel travel than an Gallardo.

Re: h3 vs h2 in speed.
I have owned both a 2006 H3 (The Titanic) and a 2006 H2. I'd put my money on the H2 every time. Especially the 60 to 80 speeds.
The H2 can go from 60 to 80 in 6.2965 seconds and the H3 requires approximately 9.4354 years. It's a minor difference, but in my mind, still significant!

Dude...does the librarian at your high school know you're using the computer for surfing Hummer web sites and you're not actually researching for your paper in Health class on teenage acne and the lasting psychological ramifications of it?

The H2 has nice pick-up. I don't know about the H3 though.
