Remember ya'll, new roof rails and front A-pillar moldings are supposed to be out in May.
I'll try and get a date if I can as to when Service Parts will have a supply of the new ones. (Course, I'm going to get mine ordered the day before. )

Thanks f5, my name is already on the dealer's list so I should be ok. Both sides need to be replace.

Every H3 has the roof rails. The are the black things that run from front to back, on each side, where the roof bows attached. Older style tended to crack where the A-pillar overlapped, and the A-pillar molding were not correct either, and didn't overlap all the way.

Assumed you meant new crossbows...

Thanks for the update f5fstop! My dealer advised me the last time I was in that they will install the new ones as soon as they are available. I told them that I will probably know before they will.

I'm sure everyone knew that I was talking about, and to be exact, roof rail cross bars is the name we call them here; at GM.

My question is, what determines if they should be replaced?
I have a tiny crack that I stopped by stop drilling just ahead of it.
Is there any other criteria to tell if they are defective?
The 1/4" between the ends don't seem to be a problem, it is a Hummer after all.
Best regards, Happy Jack

They start out as tiny cracks, and the A-pillar should fit up to the roof rails.

Will have to say, the plotter is off, I just double checked. China would have an E latitude. Yulin is approx. N41:01, E125:56'59 (: in place of degree symbol).

Looks like this is in Canyonlands National Park, close to Musselman Arch perhaps.

You win.
And what a view it is:
(This shot was taken about a mile away at walking rocks overlook.)
Musselman Arch:
(Both photos are washed out due to being taken in the afternoon's hot July sun.)

Dang. I try not to look up there, too much work (I'd rather scoot under and get greased all over ). Isn't it just fluff up there? Wonder if mine is cracking... What am I looking for again? Any pics of this "defect"? Thanks.
