Yep, I miss being able to take my Hummer back to the dealer and knowing they'd fix it right and it'd be covered under warranty. I miss sitting in the dealer waiting room talking Hummers with all the other Hummer owners. I miss the time they gave me an H1 loaner to go out for lunch in while mine was being serviced. I miss the yearly outings. In my opinion, nothing has been made since the H2 was discontinued that even compares to it. Ah....the good ole days......picture of the Lynch Hummer waiting room circa summer 2005

I totally agree ! There has not been a vehicle produced since the Hummer that compares in style and function. You can go out on the town for an Upscale evening and to the lake the next morning all in the same vehicle. It's just that versitile. I'm still holding on but parts availability is making it difficult. I'm not one to drive vehicles held together with Duck Tape and Super Glue !

Worst mistake GM ever made. As a matter of fact, because of this move I have stopped buying GM for their lack of balls in creating a superior American product and standing by it; including continuing to make parts for it for sh**s sake. Did they really think they were going to lose money on it selling them at $70,000+ new? WTF kind of business model is that where you are losing money from a $70,000 sale of a car that is just a suped up Tahoe? Bought my first foreign car just a few months ago, Toyota of course. Sad to see Jeep fill that niche with those stupid looking 4 door wranglers with no guts and see them making a killing on them. Should have stuck with the program GM and put out an H4-

I too, miss having a dedicated Hummer dealer to go to. Here in New York, I have to take it to the local Cadillac dealer and they treat it like the bad stepchild of GM.
Speaking of parts getting harder to find, I had the rear window crack on my SUT while hauling some metal fence posts that shifted. After calling around all over the US, they finally found one at a dealer in Dallas who only had one and really didn't want to part with it. I think the drivetrain parts will be around a long time, it's those trim pieces, glass, and some electrical parts that worry me. Oh yes, then there was the BCM replacement that took a week. Still nothing compares to it in my opinion. I drove a Raptor last month and the ride was so stiff my back hurt after driving it for a day.

It was either ditch the H2 or continue pumping out a product that no one could afford to by, or afford to put gas in. Take a look at all the 08-09 that are for sale now. No one is buying these H2s. GM had no choice but to ditch the H line in order to bail themselves out, plus if there is no demand there is no supply. The H2 sales dropped 50% in 2008 from 2007 and from 2003 to 2007 it dropped over 60%. I miss them as well, but I get it, I really do get it

Raptor...schmaptor...those things are soft in the middle from what I hear anyways. Nice wide stance, but the frame can't take the punishment that that style of off-roading can dole out.

I'm still waiting on the GMC 2500 All Terrain HD concept...
