MIRRORS
If side mirrors are manually folded in/out, can this break the power retracting feature? 2003 HUMMER

Better hope you have warranty when you break em, or it's gonna run you a minimum $900.00 to $1,100.00 for each mirror!

No. The old style mirrors are $500/ea.

I took my hummer to a carwash on two seperate occassions; they didn't automatically move them. One mirror broke on one visit and the other broke on another visit. I think these are the old style mirrors because I have a 2003 Hummer.
We always moved them automatically, and they worked just fine. Now it just seems odd that they both break at the car was when they forced them manually. On 2 seperate occassions. The seems as if the carwash owner thinks he shouldn't have to pay for replacing the mirrors.
DO YOU THINK THEY WILL BREAK QUICKER IF THEY ARE FORCED TO MOVE IN AND OUT MANUALLY?

Just break them off, they don't serve a purpose anyways!
