Cadillac Hummer of London presents:
Hummer Happenings
Ontario's second Hummer Happenings May 28th 2005.
Port Stanley, Ontario

600 Oxford St.. West
London,Ontario. N6H 1T9

LATEST UPDATES: Hummer Happenings
This year's Hummer Happenings Event will be held in Port Stanley, a couple
of ports East of
Port Dover on Lake Erie directly south of the city of London.

Hummer Happenings® 2005 is going to be bigger and more exciting than last
year and
last year was great. We have 1000 acres of land for the off-road course.

The town of Port Stanley is bending over backwards to make this Hummer
Happenings® event the best in North America. The feed back that I am
receiving from businesses and residences in the town and the area is
amazing. I will guarantee in the town of Port Stanley that you will be
taken by its hospitality, numerous shops, fine restaurants and incredible
geographical surrounding area. For those of you that will be traveling in
the night before, which I believe will be 95% of us, "Port" which Port
Stanley is affectionately called, has numerous Inns and Bed & Breakfasts, my
suggestion would be to call and book your rooms soon, as it will fill up
very quickly. In the event that you have missed a room, you will find
accommodations in St. Thomas 15 minutes north of Port. If you are finding a
problem getting a place to stay, contact me and I will assist you.

"WHAT WILL BE NEW?" YOU ASK.

Well.the biggest change will be the off road area, with very minimal driving
on the dreaded "pavement". We will have to drive on some of the "blacktop"
in order to get to the off road site which is located about 15 minutes just
outside of Port. Once we are there, we are there to play!
The second biggest change I have to say, happily say, are the charities that
are involved: Make a Wish Foundation, Sunshine Foundation and Lamplight. As
you are all aware this is not a fund raiser for these charities on behalf of
Cadillac Hummer of London, but that these critically ill children will get a
once in a life time chance to truly experience what it is like to ride
off-road in a Hummer.

This year's spring event will be for one day on May 28th, ending around 7:30
PM so that everyone will be able to get back on the road and head for home.
Please, don't get me wrong if you'd like to stay in Port for the night and
shop and enjoy what Port Stanley has to offer on Sunday you would be making
a wise decision.
There will be a tech inspection first thing Saturday morning, prior to
breakfast at the Legion. We will have a tent that will hold two Hummers at
a time and two technicians from our dealership will be there to ensure that
there are no problems with your truck. For example, leaking transmission,
worn or frayed brake lines and to ensure all head and tail lights are in
proper working order. This is for the safety of everyone involved in the
day's events.

There are also a couple of items that we would ask everyone involved in the
off-road portion to carry with them, please read the article entitled,
"Safety Items and Rules".
Other than that, I am going to keep my lips sealed until you get here and
then you'll have to find out the rest, oh.film crew, just wait till you see
this years movie!!!!!

"Last October was Canada's first Hummer Happening. It was by far the best
Dealer sponsored Event I attended last year! There were 31 Hummers that
showed up for the event. Of the 31 Hummers, I was the only Hummer from the
United States" Robert DeVore

SAFETY ITEMS AND RULES

We ask that everyone involved in the days event follow a couple of rules,
which really are common knowledge, however for the formality of it I need to
state them. You are all aware that this is a family event. Last years
event did not have any problems and ran absolutely smooth, let's keep this
going for every event, ever year.

First and foremost, there will be no drinking during the off-road event; if
you are caught you will be asked to leave and not be able to attend any
events in the future.

No alcohol and any other contraband
No littering
Stay on marked trails and path throughout the off-road area
No careless driving or attempts for unsafe passing
Maintain posted speed limits
All drivers and passengers must wear their safety belts at all times

As for safety equipment inside your vehicle we ask that you have the
following:

First aid kit
Two-way FRS radio (set to Channel 4)

As for extraction equipment, a vast majority of participants have all
required equipment, we (Cadillac Hummer of London) will have additional
snatch straps on hand.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Friday May 27th
8:00 PM - GT's on the Beach, informal get together

Saturday May 28th
7:30 AM - Legion Hall, tech inspection and registration immediately
following your inspection and registration, breakfast will be served inside
the Legion.
8:30 AM - Drivers meeting and introduction of foundation children and
Hummer owners that they will be with for the morning.
9:00 AM - Head out through town to off-road area.
12:15 PM - Arrive at GT's on the Beach for lunch with everyone.
There will be a large number of spectators to see this many Hummers in one
spot!
1:30 PM - Head back out to the off-road site, at this time the
Foundation children and their families are finished for the day.
5:00 PM - Arrive at The Wharf restaurant for dinner and the awards
banquet and depart

Charities involved and how do I help?

As everyone is aware, Hummer Happenings® charities for this year are:
Make A Wish Foundation
Sunshine Foundation
Lamplight
This event is not a fund raiser for these charities, if there are any funds
left over at the end of the day, it will be split equally among each
Foundation. What we are asking in place of this is, if each Hummer owner
that is able to donate two of his/her seats does so. One seat will be
occupied by a child and the second by one of their parents or guardians.
As you can well imagine how this would make a child feel to have this
opportunity to off road in a Hummer, and just be around so many Hummers at
one time. We have been contacted by a number of owners wishing to partake
in this; however we are in desperate need of more.
Please notify me as soon as you can so that I may place these children, if
you have any concerns I ask that you contact me and I will provide you with
all the details concerning the foundation children. Our conversation will
be kept private and confidential.
