I've owned my H2 1 month and just noticed when it rains hard or I wash my truck water is running down inside the right front roof support trickling out of the grab handle bolt cover. I discovered the passenger carpet was soaked. Anybody had this problem? Could it be a faulty seal around the antenna?

You might want to check the running light on the front corner of the roof, it has a built in jacuzzi

Yup! Hell check all the running lights on the front of the roof! The lights in the center can get bumped off in a car wash then you will have a leak. Welcome to the "having fun at the dealer club!" BIG-C

Clogged drainage hoses are the culprit. Easy for the dealer to fix just make sure they clean your carpeting.

with it being a month old it may not be a drain clogged but check under the corner roof marker lights and verify the rubber plug is in place. especially if they installed roof lights.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll visit the dealer tomorrow. This seems like a very weird way of getting water off the roof !@#$%

I think the clogged drain tube is only an issue with a sunroof installation, but others have had problems with the front roof lights not being sealed well.

I visited the Dealer today. First Class service (Orlando Hummer) They installed a new corner roof light while I waited. They seemed sure that was it. I'll see what happens, it looks like rain.

My front center running light comes off about every third time at the car wash. This is after the dealer replaced with "new and improved upgraded light".
It is a very poor design, they are just snapped in (poorly) I might add and they come off very easy.
The first time I noticed it I had water running in at my sunvisor dripping all over my dash.

Brad,
How good has Crest Hummer been to you? I just got a 04 and want to know if I should be prepared. Anyone there you would recommend or not recommend? Thanks for the help.

I haven't taken mine through a commercial car wash and now I won't in the future. I pay my kids to wash it.

Is it possible to pop the light out, put in a bead of clear silicone adhesive caulk, and stick the light back in?
I would think that'd seal it up nice, and the adhesive caulk would hold it in good. Adhesive caulk having better holding power than the regular stuff.
Just a thought...

You don't want silicone against a painted surface as it causes corrosion/rust.

CMB,
A few months ago I took it in for some work and had to fight them like dogs to get a vehicle to drive. Luckily I knew a manager and he took care of me. My point to them was I am buying a 55k dollar truck and can't even get a loaner! They said Sonic had taken all of those privi's away. My wife drives a Lexus and it doesn't matter what we take it in for they always give us a car to drive. We can even take it in anytime just to have it washed.
I told them that there competition was taken care of customers alot better than they were.
Besides the loaner problem they have been OK, typical dealer justifacations on problems.

TBarrow,
Why do you say silicone will cause rust on a painted surface?

cmb,
Where do you live?
I am getting ready to build a house in Brentwood.
As far as recommending someone at the dealership, There was one guy there I liked and he left. There always seems to be alot of turnover at dealerships.
