Having installed chrome hood latches I want to know what others do to prevent them from banging the body when closing the hood. The dealer said they have someone hold them when closing the hood but that's not always going to possible. Have heard of using rubberbands to hold them but haven't figured that out. Any ideas.

Just be gentle when closing the hood, you shouldn't hit anything. I don't think you need to go and recruit people everytime you want to open/close the hood!

Many of my customers say the same thing. Even my H2 has the problem. The stock ones are plastic, Hmmmmmm... Good idea, U think! Anyway it don't scratch anything when the hood comes down. I would'ent worrie about it too much. BIG-C
