New Tires/Wheels - Help!
Hi everyone! I have a 2006 H3, it's Slate Blue Metallic with the chrome appearance package, chrome tubular assist steps, and the bright roof cross bows. I'm probably going to need some new tires soon for my H3 and I've seen some H3's/H3T's on here with 35" tires and they look AMAZING. I'd like to keep my stock wheels but get 35" tires, does anyone have a suggestion on which tires to get? I tried to look some up but I don't know too much about tires. Also, I think this would give my H3 more of an off-road look (which I'd like)... do you guys think it would look weird given the amount of chrome? Thanks for your help everyone

There are lots of choices. What do you need and want?

Re: New Tires/Wheels - Help!
Well I think I like the look of the 35" tires more, and since I occasionally go off-roading it would be nice to have. I'm not sure which brand to get though, and which size would fit on the stock rims.

Re: New Tires/Wheels - Help!
315/75/16 or 35x12.50x16 are the same size... do you want a mud terrain or all terrain?

Re: New Tires/Wheels - Help!
Probably all-terrain. Which brand would be best?

Re: New Tires/Wheels - Help!
As with any tire the brands that are best usually are more expensive. Mickey Thompson, BFG, Goodyear, all make really good AT tires... I actually have Nitto Terra Grapplers on my rig, and I wheel with them, they do horrible in deep mud but everything else they're great... ultimately you get what you pay for, so if you cheap out expect poor performance in harsh conditions...

Re: New Tires/Wheels - Help!
Oh ok, thanks for the help. Honestly, I would just be using them mostly for driving around town but I occasionally go off-roading (maybe once a year, wish I could go more) but I really love the look of the trucks with the 35s that I've seen on here.
Thanks for your help though, I'll look those up right now.

Re: New Tires/Wheels - Help!
I'd stick with AT tire since you stay mostly on the road.
BFG AT would be a good tire for you. 315 size is 34.5"/ just shy of the 35" tire. I ran them for few months in my H3 and loved them....ended up with a procomp extreme MT in a 35", but the BFG's road better on teh HWY and were quiet!!!
Not sure where your at, but the BFG AT's handle great in the snow too.
