The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the
described symptoms in the PI.</P><A name=ss1-1531166><A

<H5>Condition/Concern:</A></H5>
Some vehicles that are operated in dusty environments, such as farming or
off-road applications, may have a SES light on with a P0446 DTC stored.</P><A
name=ss2-1531166><A
href="http://127.0.0.1:9001/servlets/BlobShtml?ShtmlFile=1531166#ss2-1531166">
<H5>Recommendation/Instructions:</A></H5>
If the published diagnostics isolate an EVAP vent valve concern and excessive
EVAP Vent Valve dust intrusion is found, install the following updated
components to prevent a repeat dust intrusion concern:</P>
1) 15750484 - EVAP Vent Valve</P>
2) 15105605 - Mounting Bracket</P>
If EVAP Vent Valve dust intrusion was found, inspect the EVAP canister for
dust intrusion. If EVAP canister dust intrusion is present, also replace the
EVAP canister. </P>

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If
the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining
steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition,
please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.</P><A
