Newest Pictures of my H2.
Got a new Roof Rack, hadn't put the tire up top when the pictures were taken.
The Roof Rack is a 3 piece design with spots to mount up to 6" lights in the front, and some Fogs in the Rear.
The rack has a spot to mount your spare tire as well.
The Sun Roof Insert is removable for those with a sun roof.
These pictures are also the first I've taken since I got my winch installed. Everything is coming together nicely!
The Rack, as well as the Front and Rear bumpers are made by an Off Road Shop here in Texas called Tough Country.

That's the rack that is copied from GOBI's design, only upside down. They didn't have any in the booth at SEMA, I guess out of fear of being caught.
No surprise you've got one.

Actually these racks have been around longer than the Gobi ones have. Go figure.
But then again, I guess it's not too tough to copy a rectangle, huh?

Things on the checklist:
Lift + 38" Tires (Has to be done all at once)
Paint Front Grill
Black out Lights (Maybe)
Replace Nerf Bars with heavier extendead Rock Rails
Then we'll see. Muahahahahaha!

DETONATE:I would like to have our lawyers prove to your lawyers who came up with the GOBI Rack and ladder first. I take it you have upside down pants also? What's next are you going to name it IBOG? or maybe you can mount the tire under the Rack.

This is a Gobi with Tire Carrier and Sun Roof Opening.
There is virtually no usable space on the top of that rack.
On the Tough Country rack you can take the tire down, put in the sun roof insert and have the entire rack space usable for storage. Or you can put your tire on top, take off the sun roof insert and cruise town.
The Rack is also sectionable so you can slide the front piece all the way forward, and the back piece all the way back for storing longer items.
You may think that bending a pipe to make room for some lights is some super secret patentable idea, but I don't.
I just want a heavy duty rack that will suit my needs, and the TC rack is just better than the Gobi, hands down.

Not from me. I don't own Tough Country. :P
Besides. I think the forum members here are smart enough to realize that there are only so many ways to put a rectangle on top of a rectangular vehicle.

LOL. What a joke.
Let me guess, if the pipe didn't have the bend for the lights it would be a copy of a Wilderness rack right?
HAHAHA!!!

Very professional. Keep embarrassing yourself and your business. I'm getting a big kick out of it.

I am not the one driving your vehicle. I really never say much on this site but after a year on having you make false statements such as "TC was the first to design the Rack and ladder" I think its time to set the record clear. Members on the site are respected business owners as well and understand that false statements from you are just gasps of air that don't sever a purpose. I will loose no more time on this matter.

I hate to say it, but I think i am with Detonate on this one. I have seen a GOBI rack in person, and although they have their similarities, which has to be expected when making a like product for the same vehicle, they definitely have some differences too. If that wasn't allowed than 1 company would have a Monopoly on the market, and that is against the law (atleast in theroy).

So are you trying to tell me that nobody had ever made a roof rack before you?
Nobody had ever designed a ladder before you?
This is some magical new concept that was invented by Gobi the same time the Hummer H2 came out?
Or is it possible that people have been making racks and ladders for various makes on models of vehicles for years, and years. Even before *GASP* Gobi?
And is it also possible that products were planned for the Hummer H2 even before it was released to the public?
Maybe yours was the first sold. I don't know. That's never what I was saying.
I'm saying that TC has been making Racks, Ladders, Front Ends, Rear Bumpers, and tons of other Off Road parts for not just many years, but generations in their family.
They didn't have an H2 in El Campo Texas the day they rolled off the lot. They had to borrow one from a guy named Mark at Star Customs in Austin. 6 weeks after they got their first H2, they had a concept done.
And until you made a big stinky on the forum after Texas Truck and SUV show, the family owned business of Tough Country had never heard of the arrogance of a new company named GOBI.
