Gary,
I removed the frame from the garage door to get two inches. Now there is steel and a thin board. I painted it white and it looks... ok. The point is, can you change the carport and not the H2?
Good Luck to you.......

Gary
If the air ride sensors are just on-off-on switches then you should be able to splice into the system a hand controlled momentary switch. It would need a mode switch that would disconnect the ride sensors and connect the manual hand controlled momentary switch. Then pushing on the momentary switch would trick the system into thinking you had just taken heavy cargo out of the vehicle, it would then let air out of the bags. When you are ready to re-inflate, just switch the mode switch back to the air ride sensor and let it do its job to level the vehicle.
Please be advised this would require basic electronics knowledge and this kind of tampering is not without its risks to the vehicle or the vehicle's warranty.
Never get under the truck and play with this kind of system with out having the truck up on strong jack stands! Never!
Get the wiring diagram for the vehicle. Look to see if there is a connecter that you can unplug. If so, purchase two extra sets of that same type of connector (male and female). This way you can test your new switch without actually cutting any of the stock wires.
This kind of modification does beg the question, will leaving the air sacks in an under inflated state for an extended time effect the longevity of the air sack?
I do not own an H2 yet. Still making up my mind on color. At this point, I am only guessing at how the ride sensor switch functions in the system. However, if you can get the wiring diagram or an extra ride sensor switch and want help, I would be happy to give you guidance designing the wiring of the switches. I know you said that electronics is not your bag in the "DRL's as switchable fog lights........" post but maybe you can find someone to help at your end.
Dave

You could try lowering your tire pressure.

It would be nice to just add a second set of air ride sensors on the frame. Then the mode switch would select between them. The second set would be adjusted to the desired secondary ride height.

Wannabe,
Where could I get a rendering like this one of the suspension you posted. I'd like to print this plus one of the front end suspension. I am considering suspension mods and want to understand the mechanics of them. I especially need to understand the front end suspension.
Thanks,
Bob
