I have a solo law practice, and a part-owner of a Title Company (with another solo attorney). I'm in the process of negotiating with a dealer now, and thinking about looking at other dealerships soon, so I can FINALLY be a HUMMER owner too!

Mike97ZJ - I won't speak for Patrick, but if you're interested in going into mechanical engineering at an even smaller scale, check out the world of microsystems. Just type in microsystems or MEMS on your search engine and explore the world to come. Designing mechanical systems that have already improved the driving safety of our vehicles (airbags, skid control) and are being developed to improve our health (in-body diagnostic and surgical tools). This isn't really hands-on (other than at the design station) due to the small size of these systems, less than the diameter of a human hair and some on the order of the size of a red blood cell. Its cool stuff though and certainly high impact technology. In any case, the world can always use another motivated engineer.

PHIL D AND BIG HAMMER YOU"RE KILLING ME!!!
You guys are making me home sick! I was raised in Corpus Christi. I am 29 and my family still lives down there, so my wife and I go back 10 times a year. Graduate of WB Ray, and Mustang Island School, of course the latter not a recognized institution, if you know what I mean! I now live in the Texas Panhandle for about 8 years now. It's painful. Some of these guys talking about fishing, have never had a 38" bull redfish empty a 100yds out od a Shimano Calcutta, in Matagorda Bay.
