Park position does not work
Hello Forum Members,
I have after my noise problem another issue with my H3.
No I am unable to putt he automatic Transmission into the Park Position, which means the shifting handle moves al the way to the front but the indicating light on the dashboard stays still on R and the transmissions also remains in the reverse position, any Idea what could cause such a behavior?
Could it bet hat due to the cold weather here something is frozen?
Damiano

Re: Park position does not work
I would check the linkage at the trans,if you had a trans pan drop to empty fluid you must unbolt the linkage.
It could have loosened up ?.Some dealers forgot to tighten up bolts .
I would also lube that area with some WD-40 and white litheum spray(I do it every oil change)
Try rolling foward and back a few times it might have bound up ?
Cold weather could do it..but unlikly

Re: Park position does not work
Hi,
I did what you recommended and it was exactely the solution, I had to use some WD40 and a little bit of sandpaper to clean the linkage at the transmission box, now it works just fine!!
Thanks for the help
