1 Month Hummer Report
Ok Ladies and Gents,
My 1 month H2 Report:
- I am in Love/Lust with my Rig.
- Driven it a few times from Jersey to Virginia and getting a little over 13 mpg with cruise control set to 72 mph. This of course is when I am not slowing down thru baltimore and dc.
- Electrically, no issues.
- Mechanically, no issues
- Onstar sucks. They are not too good with directions when the rig is moving. When they do send you the directions, it takes longer then what it should be. Better off using the navigational system. Don't think I will be renewing my service with them.
- Ride is smoooooooooth.
- XM radio I will definately renew. Was never a fan for paying for radio, but since they threw it in, I figured I try it. I am hooked. XM was made for me. Love ESPN and FOX Sports and the URBAN channels, as well as the comedy channels. Traveling 2-3 hours for work each way, it really makes the time go by quicker.
- Takes a bit more concentration riding it on the highway, especially thru construction sites, but nothing I can't handle.
- People do stare and stare and stare. and everyone wants a ride.
That's all I have for now. Will update everyone periodically as time goes on.

Re: 1 Month Hummer Report
Glad to hear you're enjoying the truck !
I've been driving mine for 3 years now, and I still love every minute I spend in it.
People stare ??? You should try driving a hummer over here in Europe. Then you'd really learn the meaning of staring... lol
take care !

ps: onstar and xm radio don't work over here

Ugh..that sucks Frenzy. I would have thought that XM would have worked anywhere. By the way, over in Belgium, do you guys have any satelite radio service?
Appreciate the shout back!
Later Bro

Re: 1 Month Hummer Report
They have chocolate and Fine women(well from what frenzy's avatars look like), which in my opinion is better than Xm. You guys ever try Sirius Sat Radio. I recently got it ane love it way more than Xm.

Re: 1 Month Hummer Report
My 3 month, 3,116 mile report on my new H2 SUT is similar. No problems whatsoever. The ride is MUCH BETTER than my old H3 on the highway and on city streets. My tall frame likes the extra room in the H2 and I LOVE the seats. They are comfortable and great on my tender back, and of course the back seat heater helps me year round. I've only had it in mud up to the axles once and it did great, but I've been through some serious water with it and I can tell you the door seals are TIGHT! I like the updated navigation system and I'm sold on the XM too. I had XM and a portable Sirius in my H3 for long road trips and found the XM to be more signal friendly. My mpg is reading 11.8 on the meter and I've never reset it since new. That includes some slow going during the flood relief and using my H2 as a cooling station at one the levees. I had one of the first H3s in May of 2005 and I thought that brought on lots of stares, but the H2 seems to draw even more people like a magnet. I haven't used the Onstar yet, except for the vehicle performance reports. The wife is hitting me up to trade her Xterra in on an H3 while the prices are good now, so we may soon be a two Hummer family.

Re: 1 Month Hummer Report
Frenzy, I met some girls from England a while back (They were on Vacation here in NY). I invited them to do some 4 wheeling.....
When I picked them up they freaked out! Lets just say that was a VERY fun X-rated night. =))))
Aparently if you have a H2 in the UK you are famous!

I don't live in the UK, but in Belgium (tiny country across the channel), and I got to admit that I indeed get alot of attention driving my truck over here. too bad it's mostly from teenage boys
