Re: Front differential bushings?
Yes that is it, but it says for 04 not sure if anything changed or not from 03-04 etc cause everyone I called don't have it. Was also hoping to go aftermarket for
More heavy duty.. If ya think this will fit I'll order that up today thank you.

That part number fits all years. You can give a dealer your VIN to ensure it does though. I use gmpartshouse.com. Gene. But many places to order it.

I'm pretty confident it is. I dont think there were any component changes in the front diff besides slight casting differences. Every parts catalog I looked on for 03 didn't even list the part. I say they updated the part number and never made the reference to the updated number.
Post a pic of that firebird!

Re: Front differential bushings?
Well i had no luck called a head guy at my local dealership that i'm friends with, he searched the entire gm database for the part/bushing. An don't have it anywhere he said they just discontinued the part an he never seen anything like it. He called a few local auto parts stores an they all cross ref the part an no one has it either. He says he never came across this problem in the 20 years he's been there. That they just stop making a part, but said the 04-up is different an won't work after lookin at the demensions. I can't possible be the first person in the world to come across this problem an someone has to make this. Anyone that can help here is appreciated greatly. Thanks.
Not sure how to upload a picture, says upload failed?

If it is item #7 in the above link, then the part number shown is for all years. Check the link below which shows that part number for all years. The front diffs are the same except the gearing which changed in the 08 and 09 trucks.

Re: Front differential bushings?
Called that place talked to a travis at nalleygmc said 03 part #7 in description is different from other years, actually was kind of a dick on phone when I asked him what am suppose to do. Says 03 was a specific bushing.. Believe me I'm willing to do anything at this point but 3 ppl now told me it won't fit..

Re: Front differential bushings?
The front diff carrier is the same from 03-09. With that, I would think the later bushing part number 88963599 would work on it. In the GM catalog, they don't specify what the difference is between the two bushings.

Re: Front differential bushings?
I really think they didn't update the part number. I've not hear one person in the 5 years I've been on these boards mention 03 front diff being unique to any other years.
You need the part, if it doesn't fit your last option is junkyard.

Re: Front differential bushings?
Called Gm they gave me the run around, saying because of the bail-out, all parts were discontinued an they sold all remaining parts off the shelves. He said i can buy the 04 bushing but says its no-returnable an won't say its gonna fit. I'm thinking of buying a block of urethene an making my own goddamn bushing that fed up an disgusted with this i could puke. I know you all are saying the 04 an up will fit i'm just sick of buying stuff thats suppose to fit an it don't have about 10 parts laying around here that was suppose to fit. Sorry for rant ruff day.

Re: Front differential bushings?
Well watching GM's stock price slide it's pretty clear if it goes down much more then their going to be in another bankruptcy situation, hopefully without the loser in office, so they can go through a REAL bankruptcy and lose the goddamn unions that are screwing it up to begin with.
and with the new report that AM General has plans to release a new humvee to civilian market, we might have the chance that gm will let the brand go on the cheap and AM hopefully will pick it up
