Default Air ride discussion?

What are the pros and possible cons of the on board air ride suspension? Do most of you like it, or wish you just had a standard suspension? I am looking to sell my Jeep and buy my first Hummer, I want to make an informed decision of what I need. I don't want to spend so much money and then wish I had certain options. Thanks

Get the air, especially if you will tow anything. Plus the compressor comes very handy for many outdoor activities.

The option sets may have changed but when I bought mine, the Adventure Package came with air ride as standard. It's nice that it self-levels when loaded or hauling, I can't say that I've compared the ride between it and the sprung suspension w/o air ride however.

The downside is the expense if something goes wrong with it and a few have had clearance issues with the position sensors when using some aftermarket wheel & tire combos. The sensor position can be modified but it's worth mentioning so you'll be informed.

I kinda had my fill of the air ride problems on our 2003 and went with the coils. Some folks have problems (me) and others don't.
