Some people might thought this is crazy, but I wonder if anyone have seen the chrome grill painted in matching color? It may not work with other colors, but I am wondering what it will look like if the chrome grill is painted black, thus the entire Hummer H2 is in solid black color, commando black!

I'm actually thinking about having my grille painted black( pewter H2) since I'm going to have my stock wheels powdercoated black. My only problem is matching the powdercoat finish to the center covers. Since they're plastic they can't be PC'd.

The center part that is plastic can be replace with the metal center covers found at the following link.
These covers can then be anodized or painted the same place that is painting the wheels for you.

I went to SUVXcessory.com and looked, I did not see any grill replacement or parts or overlay for grill. Can you please specify which model numbers? I too have thought about painting the chrome grill, I hate to say it, but the chrome grill does remind me of JEEP. H1 does not have chrome grill which seems to look more rugged, complete or "as one". If the grill is plastic, then it is possible to buy a grill replacement in basic unpainted black plastic? Can current chrome grill be painted?

Cool. Thanks for the info and link. That's another option if I can't have the centers matched with my wheels.

Oooooh, I don't know! I just looked at the ad again and noticed that they have to be affixed with 3M tape. I'm not sure that's what I want.

I was at Bergstrom Hummer yesterday, and they have a Raptor Edition. It is a $5000 option that comes with a black front grille, black wheels, custom decals along the side, and new badging. It looked pretty sweet. I am going there again tomorrow, and I will see if I can take a fer pictures.
