Default Rear view mirror power issue

Yesterday something weird was going on with the interior rear view mirror. It was like the power to it was flashing on and off. The temp and compass was flashing on and off also and then sometimes it would stay on but, all it read was "188" like it was resetting itself. I tried to power it off but it would not respond to the power button and just kept flashing. This went on all day whenever I took the H3 out. Today it seemed fine. Anyone?

I did not, however, slide the moonroof shade back to see if there was a UFO hovering above me. Should I have?

Alliens...That's the problem.

Check the connector to the back of the mirror. Make sure it's tight and seated properly. If it happens again it may be the mirror going bad. Or gremlins.

It could also be the rambler or the desoto...
