Can you say "fun to drive".
Had a 12 hour layover in Houston and just stopped by the dealer for a look.
Ended up being a new owner.

MY TRUCK : NO !
MY DOG : MAYBE
MY WIFE : YES
In answer to your question, Yes!
It is a dirt bike. With the optional street wheels, it is a road bike. (Super Motard)
The transmission gears and final drive are the same as the more equipped (heavier) 1200GS.
I plan to use it as a suppliment to my 1100GS. Along with the street wheels and tires we are installing heated grips, a small windscreen and a set of hard bags.
Plan to use it pretty much the same as the GS, about 90% paved roads, 10% Gravel or trails. Keep in mind that I live in Veracruz, Mexico so some of the places on road here are equivalant to off road elsewhere.
I got to ride the bike the other day and all I can say is Wow! Light and powerful, It is a blast.
Thanks, Called the dealer today. They are almost finished installing some extra goodies. (Heated grips, passenger footpegs and a small windscreen)
In about 2 more weeks I will be going up to Houston to take delivery.
It's gonna be a great summer.
Ride Safe,
Vettster
