I am close to pulling the trigger on a H2 and have couple of questiona an am looking for your opinions. Doing the H2 LUX...DVD nav, sunroof, rear entertaintment system, auto-air leveling, brushguard...anything I should stay away from or do differently? What do you guys think I should expect to pay for this....I know msrp, but was wondering realisticly...
Thanks!

You should NOT be paying MSRP. There are substantial discounts to be had if you shop around.

Re: Close to pulling the trigger
Call around. DEFINATLY DO NOT PAY MSRP, like the other guy said. When I went to look for an H2 EVERY dealer in colorado said "MSRP is it....thats what you pay....period". I kept calling around and got mine at a dealer 5 hours away for cost plus $500.
Call around, tell them what you want and just ask for a price, tell them it will be a simple "done" deal if they give it to you for what you want....you will come and pick up the vehicle the next day. This usually works for me on cars, just be sure when you talk to them they agree there will be no mysterious fee's like "doc fee" and "advertising costs".
Also, I wouldnt go telling them it will be a simple deal unless you know you have good credit and will be aproved. Be honest and truthful with the dealer as you want them to be with you.

Re: Close to pulling the trigger
I agree with what they said...shop around. Lets face it, $60K vehicles arent flying off the lot. Work them and work them hard!

Re: Close to pulling the trigger
Thanks for the replies. I was hoping I would be able to get it for around invoice. I am willing to drive to save $$. I only have 1 dealer here in Jax, FL but Orlando is only about a 2hr drive and there are several down there.
Thanks again!

Re: Close to pulling the trigger
If you don't mind a 2006, I can find you one at auction for probably $15,000 less than you're going to pay for new. Probably even less! Send me a PM if you're interested.

Re: Close to pulling the trigger
check Edmonds and see what invoice is than don't pay more than $500.00 over invoice. don't walk into the dealership cold call ahead and ask for the fleet mamager and work with him .

Play smart....then when you go crazy like me, you can really start a hobby fixing up your Hummer. Most importantly, it becomes hours of planning and keep your eye right here. There are good people that will give you great advice.

Re: Close to pulling the trigger
If your interested, find out if you can transfer GM Card dollars. I have almost 3,000 that I cannot use since they dont let you use them with the GM employee discount. You can have them.

Re: Close to pulling the trigger
Also, if you are not in a hurry, try EBAY. I got mine there, well below wholesale. But I did my homework and patiently waited for a good one that did not get over-bid. (2005 LUX edition with everything but the DVD player)
I picked it up in Orlando and drove it home to Michigan a few weeks ago.
My retired FL-based dad helped me drive it home non-stop. He LOVED it!!
I'm digging it! Won't go back to anything smaller!
THere are multiple posts from Florida on Ebay, I'd check them out and even visit and get an inspection done too.
Good luck!
PULL THAT TRIGGER!!
