H2 Passion is off the scale

Hi,

not the first 2004 H2, i found when we are going to mountains, we are smelling some Gas exhaust inside the H2. Maybe it's coming from Exhaust or from Air Suspension?

anybody noticed something like this before and how it has been solved ??

Regards
Elie

When I picked up my 04 I smelled something bad for about the first 2 months. Then it just went away. I assume it was some sort of oil burning off the engine or exhaust.

I only notice the smell when piece of crap clunkers pull up next to the H2 at a stoplight or when I am on the interstate behind a smokebomb that just noticed me in their rear view.

You might want to try sewing one of these into the back of the offending party's pants.

Do you notice it when the sunroof is open? I used to get a horrid smell of exhaust fumes in my H2 and now I do not notice it. I guess that part of my brain is now fried.

Check your exhaust clamps just upstream of the muffler. I took delivery of my 04 and noticed black soot and burn mark on the underbody. With the engine running I could feel the exhaust seeping out. Just tightened them up and all was good.

Exact same experience, except 6 months.

brand update -july1,2004
03-04-05 H2
propane odor in the vehicle
cause could be a sealer skip in the
rear wheel house area that could let the
rear axle vent vapors find their way into
the passenger compartment.
your dealer will have this update.
