HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Gov. Ed Rendell plans to sign legislation today that makes it a crime to demonstrate near a funeral or memorial service in Pennsylvania.
The legislation is in reaction to the picketing of military funerals in Pennsylvania and elsewhere by members of a Topeka, Kan., church.
The group contends that American soldiers are being killed because the United States tolerates homosexuals.

I hope this goes through, and that these picketters end up next to Horny Bubba for a night or two.

Gov. Signs Bill Barring Funeral Demonstrations
HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Gov. Ed Rendell signed legislation Friday that makes it a crime to demonstrate near a funeral or memorial service in Pennsylvania.
The legislation is in reaction to the picketing of military funerals in Pennsylvania and elsewhere by members of a Topeka, Kan., church.
The group contends that American soldiers are being killed because the United States tolerates homosexuals.
Rendell said families should be able to mourn the loss of a loved one without protesters interfering.
The law also allows the filing of civil lawsuits against protesters who violate it. It takes effect in 60 days.
