Re: Da Vinci Code?
You left off "No, because it looks stupid". That would get my vote.

Re: Da Vinci Code?
I will be seeing it, 'cause I have no life here, and I'm running out of new movies to see!
BTW-I liked Silent Hill!!!
and The Posiedon was cool,
Sentinel was not too bad,
MI-III was pretty good...
Like I said, Not too much going on here!

Re: Da Vinci Code?
that book was one of the best I ever read. And I read a least a book a week. I don't see what the big deal is... It was a good book, it was/is fiction. I love that it got everyones panties all in a wad.

Re: Da Vinci Code?
I loved the book and am looking forward to seeing the movie. That's the first book I've read in years that I literally couldn't put down.
Mrs. - have you read Angels & Demons? Another good read by Brown, sortof the prequel to DaVinci Code.

I agree about the book, but let's face it, the Bible is just a theory too. A theory that has been re-written by men (and probably a few women) over two centuries, and I can't believe it was copied exactly as written.
Many believe in this theory of the bible; I don't. So, yes I will see the movie when it comes out on DVD.

Re: Da Vinci Code?
Yes (after X-men), it's just a "movie". I enjoyed the book but it was no "Dune".

Re: Da Vinci Code?
I liked the book so I will probably see the movie in a theater instead of borrowing it off the internet.
BTW anyone that sees it will go strait to hell, but its nice and warm down here with plenty of margaritas so don't worry.

Re: Da Vinci Code?
He (Plantard) and his two cohorts actually confessed in1980-something. They confessed to making up the Dagobert/Merovingian lineage, and to planting the Documents in the French National Library.
What makes it interesting is some of the story is true, some of it legend, and some of it completely fabricated. I love the way it is woven together.
Can't wait to see the movie.

Re: Da Vinci Code?
There is this woman at work who is so against this movie she gets pissed if you even mention the movie. Everytime I can, I mention how I can't wait to see it just to antogonize her.

My best friends husband is that way. He would not read the book and did not want her to read it. I just think that is so funny. Man people are strange, I'm glad we are all normal on this forum!
