Im looking to put a couple 12in subs in my sut, and i was wondering if anyone has already done it. Im thinking about possibly putting them in the bed. Also the only company that i have found that makes prefabricated boxes for the SUT is subbox.net, does any one know if there are any others out there?
Any advise would be great! thanks

I'm thinking you could put one w/ a crossover in the spot where the fold down cup holder is in the back seat.

yes if anyone has done this I would also like to know, I want to get it done. I asked a place what they could do and they said 4 4s or 2 8s under the seat in the back and thats all they could do.

i also asked about subs under the seat and they told me that to date all the shallow mount woofers suck azz and would not be worth it.

I went with one 10" JL Audio 10W6 under the rear driver side seat, powered by a Type RF 1200 watt Fosgate amp under the rear passenger side seat. The newer JL 10W6V2 will not fit, so you have to get the JL 10W6AE (Anniversary Edition). You can buy a pre fab box here SUT Box They claim it does not fit an SUT, but it does (friend has it). I actually measured and built my own out of 1/2" and 3/4" MDF, and it sounds good. It looks very similiar to the one for sale in the link above, but slightly larger. It complements the Factory Bose System well.

We just finished making an enclosure for 2 Kicker 10 L7. It fits under 2/3 of the seat and will be powered by Zapco 9.0. Haven't heard it yet as it is waiting to be Rhinolined.

Kodiakz, you know much about sub zero enclosures? Went to a new car audio shop and they recommend them. I like they look they acheive with the formica replacing most of the carpet and they say they are tuned for individual subs. What do you think about them.
ps, sorry if for temporarily hijacking your topic.

Hey kodiakz,
Would mind giving some details regarding that set up? Like the measurements and what was the enclosure duild from?
Pictures wouldn't hurt either
Thanks!

Boss, I have seen their enclosures and they seem pretty decent. However, I think that formica will get easily scratched and would not use that in a vehicle.
W1N, I will post pics when it is finished. Measurements will be approximate as it was a custom build (shave a litte here, file a little there) and the bottom is made out of metal mesh/fiberglass. We used 1/2" hard birch for the sides and top.

That install looks sick bro. Actually your whole truck does. I'm contemplating getting the same rims in 22's with the inserts painted black.
