Called dlr about door warning alert and was told possibly the latch. Not wanting to drive 125miles, I fiddled with door latches and found warning went off after manually opening and closing passenger door latch..A lot of plastic parts in there!! Also notice that front door seems a bit out of alignment with rear door panel. Anyone familiar with this??

I seem to get it on the rear door if I don't let it slam hard enough.

One problem with the rear swing gate:
Door Ajar Lamp On, Chimes Sound or Door Locks Cycle While Driving (Adjust Swing Gate Striker) #05-08-66-006 - (Oct 11, 2005)

Another but since you are lucky in living where the sun actually shines, and the temps are above freezing, it won't pertain to your vehicle:
Door Latch Freezing In Cold Temperatures (Apply Super Lube) #05-08-64-002A - (Dec 19, 2005)
Door Latch Freezing in Cold Temperatures (Apply Super Lube)

If you are sure it is the passenger door, you might want to put a small piece of foam tape where the switch hits the door. Don't use a real thick piece or it might impare the door actually closing. The switch is the black thing towards bottom of door on B-pillar that door closes against. This might help to close the switch until the time you want to take a trip to the dealer.
