Default 6.0 Liter V8 Owners, I have a question

I dont write many post on here, but I come to this site often and read. There maybe a few of you who remember me, but I have a 2007, and a 2008 Hummer H2.

I am looking for 2007 and before owners, because I have a favor to ask.

Can you please let me know what your engine is turning ( RPM's ) at 60mph, 70mph, and 80mph.

Normally I drive my 2007 local only, and my 2008 does the longer trips. The past month or so, I have been driving the 07 on longer trips, but it seems like its just turning too many RPM's. I am not sure if its just because I am use to the 2008 on the highway with the 6 speed transmission or what.

My 2007 is turning around 2400---2500rpms @ 80mph and to me, that just seems like its turning too many RPM's.

Thanks in advance for those who can check there Hummers, and let me know what RPM's yours is turning.

I have a 2007 H2; at 70mph I'm right at 2000 to 2100rpm. I'll run it up to 80 and see where it is.

Check back tomorrow.

That sounds about right on for 80mph with the 6.0L and 4 speed auto, pretty sure that is where my 2006 sat at 80mph. I noticed now with my 2008 that its a solid 300-400 rpms less with the tack being 2000-2100rpms right around 80mph.

Thanks so very much for taking the time out and checking. I was just shocked that its about 400---500rpms difference between the 6.0 and the 6.2 Liter. At first, I was thinking my overdrive is not working. So when I came to a complete stop, I listened closely and counted the shifts, and it seemed perfect, but I was just shocked at how many RPMS it was turning. I guess if I drove the 2007 on long trips like I do the 2008 it would not of been a shock, but the 07 mainly just does local runs out to eat, grocery store, gas, and other things.

Thanks again for checking, I feel much better knowing its nothing wrong with mine.
