Anyone else have a pinging sound from underneath the H2 after they turn off the engine? It sounds like a heat shield expanding or contracting.

I'm getting ready to being my SUT in for its first oil change and I was wondering if I should have it checked out.

I hear a single ping/pop after I have driven mine, sounds like metal contracting. I have not had any problems associated with it.

Mine did it for approx the first 6 months and then it just stopped. This has been discussed in the past. There should be several threads on it.

It's most likely the catalytic converter. Sounds aweful. It'll go away after it drives you crazy for a while.
