Default My Nav/Radio screen went blank

I started up my 2006 H2 this morning and my Nav/Radio screen was blank - totally black with no light. Could this be a fuse, or will I have to buy a new unit?

If it's totally blank and dark, I'm thinking you may need a new unit! I've seen them EBay for around $900. You can install it yourself (very easy), but the dealer will need to unlock the unit and program it to your VIN.

I found several threads on the Cadillac Escalade forum that said for a blank screen to pull the radio and radio amp fuses and clean the connectors and then disconnect the battery for 30 minutes. It worked! My nav and radio screen lights up and works again!! I just saved myself $700. While I had the fuse cover off I noticed lots of sunflower seeds inside. It looks like the mice have found a warm place to hide out this winter in the under the hood fuse box. I also noticed they had been nibbling on my Hummer hood pad and the battery cover.
