Shields #3

Notice the muddy water gushing out of the drain holes on that rear wheel shield.

This picture is just for fun.

On patrol in either Kuwait or Iraq. Taken by someone in the Navy Reserve unit that I'm in.

Very nice. If you do any serious off-roading those shields are worth there weight in gold. Given the high $ cost of any H1 rim the ROI is pretty quick. Highly recommended. Are thise bagman's or your own?

Paragon,

Believe me, muzzle control is one of the strictist things that we have drilled into our heads when we train. Sweeping someone with a weapon once will at the minimum get you a verbal warning and if you do it a second time I've been told you'll get punched.

I can't speak first hand about this picture, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have it actually pointed off to the side. There's no way the Coxswain is going to put up with one or both .50 cal's pointing directly at the back of his head.

BTW: These boats are 32 foot, Aluminum, twin diesels, twin jet drives.

Here's another picture:

Joe,

Those are my design, I in particular wanted alot of drain holes around the outer edge and I wanted to use a spacer made out of a 5" dia. solid piece of Aluminum that was milled out to make room for the CTIS fitting & hose instead of using spacers made out of thick walled tubing.

I had someone draw them in a CAD program and then they were cut by a waterjet shop. The plates used to make this set of shields are Aluminum since the waterjet shop had some scrap Aluminum sheeting laying around and they gave it to me, charging me only for the actual waterjet cutting.

I was joking. First it's a picture and like you said it's hard to tell where it's actually pointed.

Secondly, I doubt he has one racked in and the guns are probably locked down since they are moving. If you look closely, it would appear the guy on the .50 is leaning against the rail with his arms crossed and his hands are not even on the .50's handles.

They don't appear to be in a high threat area.
