Can anyone tell me where I can buy the 1/2" drilled stainless steel grill inserts for the H2? I know there is someone selling them on ebay and apparently they are a two piece, upper and lower. Can these be purchased anywhere other than ebay?

I too was about to order a set of these, but I don't like Chrome, and its another thing I'll have to have painted or annodized black. How do they fit Phil? Are they cheap or pretty good quality?

This is actually a common mod on Grand Cherokees too. What they do is make them themselves. You can actually use the mesh that is designed to keep leaves and junk out of your gutters. It comes in a few different styles, and you can get it at Home Depot or any other home improvement store.

Hope that helps.

Phil, what do mean the bottom piece? I have not seen any photo of that. If it is to replace the factory mesh below grill, I am not sure one extra piece of chrome mesh will look nice.

I was going to buy the grill insert, being the only after-market accessories good enough, but somehow never click the buy button, maybe just too lazy to deal with the installation and removing the brush guard. Your photo looks good and like a factory job. Looks more complete. I am being very careful about what I add or change, most of them have that after-market non-factory look. They are all chrome anyway, I do not want chrome except what I got, the grill. Your grill insert somehow enhanced or strengthen the chrome grill look. I looked at painted grill, I am just not sure it looks neat or cheap.

As said in "Ronin", when there is a doubt, there is a doubt.

Ordered my inserts today from Amy. Phil, were your difficult to install? She asked if I had brush gaurd, and if so, if two supports entered any of the sever openings on the grill. I do have the factory brush gaurd, not the wrap around, but the smaller one. I have no mounting brackets entering any of the seven holes, it mounts below the grill.

That looks really nice. I think I'm going to look at a black one.
Thanks for the idea. Definitely would cut down on the amount of junk inside the grill.

for the bottom section of the grille everyone is talking about, they do sell an overlay similar to the stainless accessories that people sell to cover everything else on our hummers...check out suvaccesory.com, its a new piece that simply sticks over the black section with adheasive.
