Hey there guys. Quick question. I used to own a 2005 Acura TL and one thing I loved about that thing was the DVD-A Surround sound. Just amazing sound system. Nothing can touch it as far as I am concerned.

Now I hear that the new 2007 Tahoe will have a deck that can play CDs as well as the DVD-As.....do you guys think that deck would fit in the H3???? Could be pretty cool.

Otherwise I am going to go with a double-dit Kenwood, Pioneer or something....but just curious.

Thanks guys!

Well, the new Tahoe came out today from what i understand, so it's pretty early to know if it will fit or not. I will tell you that the Eclipse nav thatKODIAKZ just intalled (excellent job BTW) has acd slot and a dvd slot. The DVD inthe H3 sounds sweet! We have some fine tuning to do with teh monsoon amp, but It's great!

Well, good point. Nobody will know for sure yet, but just wanted to start the discussion. On the Eclipse, there is a difference between DVD slot and DVD-A capability in a DVD player. Very big difference. DVD-A player does not have to be a video player, just be able to play the DVD-Audio surround sound discs.

While I realize the Monsoon is not bad, there is absolutely no compariso to any DVD-A system at all. Stop at your neighborhood Acura dealer.....its unbelievable. I have never been a sound critic, but after listening to that system for a year, I am pretty picky.

The radio in the new Tahoe is a totally new beast altogether. It operates in a different databus (gm's version of the can bus) and is differnt in shape and size. I don't know much about the specs yet but I think it uses some variety of bose speakers and amps. This is the same radio in the newest pontiacs and some others.
