I just installed the "fix kit" for the HOTSHOT. Pretty easy to do but I still have some pointers.
I found this location the best spot to drill into your washer fluid tank. It's easy to reach and it's at a good angle to place the 90 degree elbow that's supplied with the kit.

A hose attaches to the 90 deg. elbow and goes down inside your washer fluid tank as seen below:

If you look at this next picture carefully you will notice the placement of this hose inside you washer fluid tank. This is important because the hose supplied tends to curl up and if not placed correctly it will curl up and not suck water from the bottom of you tank. I hooked the hose around the intake of the OEM hose at the bottom of the tank. If you hold a drop light to the outside of the tank you can get just enough light to see the inside of the tank and you should be able to see the bottom intake.

I would also suggest attaching these parts together before connecting it to the 90 deg. elbow on top of the washer fluid tank. The reason is that the ends of check valve supplied is much larger than the hose and takes some effort to connect the hose on each side.

Just a note.
If you happen to drop the check valve into your engine compartment and try to look for it with a drop light for 45 min. with no luck and then drive to 4 auto parts stores only to find out that none of them sell this size check valve you need and drive home cursing all the way. Try putting the H2 in reverse and jamming on the brakes first. It may fall out from the engine compartment and land safely on the driveway!

Thanks NJ, just waiting for mine in the mail. Of course, I'm in UT right now, so won't be able to check it for a few days

I'm not sure what they had at the SEMA show but I do know that a similar system is offered on the new 06' Pacific Blue edition.

1 More note:
The clear hose that's supplied which goes inside you washer fluid tank needs to be cut to size. I cut mine to 11 inches. That was enough to reach the bottom of the tank from the 90 deg. elbow at the top of the tank.

Is that set-up for the bypass kit only. Just got my Hotshot Friday and didn't like where the websit said to mount the unit on the 05's what is the difference between the 05 and the 03 engine bay. that you have to mount to the washer reservior bracket? And where exactly did you hook up the POS lead?

Finally got the bypass kit installed today. Works perfectly. Now, just can't wait for winter...

I don't think the SUT has a rear Wiper so if you don't, then you don't need the bypass kit.
The bypass kit is only needed if you have a rear wiper.

Oh, I thought it needed in Auto mode to help pull more volume of liquid than trying to pull it through the existing washer pump when it is not on.

Just try it, if it fails to work properly then you will need the bypass. Mine didn't work on auto.
