Default HELP PLEASE

Is there anything I can use to bring back the color to the plastic bumpers on the H2? A bird crapped on the front bumper and it sat in the sun all day today. When I got home and got it off, it left a bleached/discolored spot. Damn birds! I hate to take it to the body shop and get the whole thing repainted if there is something else that can be done. Thanks in advance....Jamie

I called the Hummer Dealer in Mobile, AL (the nearest one 2 hours away) and he mentioned this stuff. I am just praying that they have it at some of the ACE Hardware places here or Carquest. I'll be calling in a bit as soon as the stores open. Thanks a mil!!!!....Jamie

I couldn't find it anywhere except the web. You might want to call some GM dealers in your area. Pep Boys and Auto Zone, ect.... don't carry it. I hope you have better luck than I did.

I have checked everywhere here. Nobody has even heard of it, not even the GMC dealer. He said that he was going to order some for the shop though. I showed him the website and he was shocked to see that they claim it will last as long as it does. I guess I'll be ordering off the net. Thanks again....Jamie

I used it on my old Hummer and my RV and it lasted a long time (at least 7 months). Make sure you clean the bumper as good as you can before you put it on. Also, wipe off the bumper again after you put it on with a damp cloth. I tried it both ways and got much better results with the damp cloth. Good Luck!

BTW: The shipping is a little slow for the TS-1. It took about 6 days for me to get it. Maybe you'll have better luck.

I tried to call the place to hopefully expidite the shipping date, but no one ever answers. I went to Kmart earlier to get some things and saw that Mother's has a cleaner that claims to do the same thing. Its called Back-to Black. I tried it and so far it looks alot better than just throwing Armor All on there. Well see how long it lasts, but seems to be a good choice to add to a cleaning collection for between applications of the TS-1. Only like $5 for a 12oz bottle.

Yeah, I was wondering how many washes it would stand up to. After seeing the results of it, I went back and bought 4 more bottles (just to have a back up supply) until I can get my hands on some of the TS-1....Jamie

I saw that in Advanced AutoParts and was wondering about it. I understand the reason GMC put so much plastic on the Hummer, but hate the fact of keeping it looking decent. I believe that I am going to completely solve my problems later by buying the color-matched bumpers (non-plastic)...Jamie
