Default Change an H2 for an H1

Would You change a 2009 H2 SUT for a 2002 H1 10th anniversay edition ??
The H2 has 15 K miles and the H1 25 K miles.

Personally, I wouldn't. The only one that I would change for is a 2006 H1. Obviously, I would have to pay more after the trade, but that's my opinion.

On top of it all, there's no warranty left on a 02- bound to be issues that will arise especially if its going to be a daily driver.

Have you ever considered what highway travel is like in an H1? Noisy and firm. If you do go with the H1 - and I'll admit they are fun - make sure it has been maintained well. If my wife wouldn't go nuts, I'd have all 3 a 1 and a 2 and an H3. Another BIG factor is having someone around that can work on H1s and get the parts for you.

And without warrenty, they arn't cheap to fix. If it isn't going to be used for off road I'm not totally sure how much I would like to have an H1. I would be paranoid parking it anywhere in the city and finding someone up here to fix it would be next to impossible.

That being said, if I had an opportunity to trade my 04' +a little cash for a 02' H1 I would probably do it, a 09' with warrenty is a different story though.

I fail to see how ordering parts for an H1 is any harder than an H2. Go to dealer, see parts counter, order parts. There are also a number of online retailers that live and die by the H1, who stock OEM parts. Rubberduck, blue Hummer, SAX, Hummer parts guy, my humvee, Lynch, Kascar. Anyone who can fix a diesel pickup can work on an H1, albeit sometimes you've got a poke around to find someone thats game for it, its still not that hard.

Other than that yes, they ride like a dump truck, require a ton on maintenance, they fit in a regular parking spot fine, they don't like the freeway, are under powered, the headlights suck, the windshield wipers suck, but they're still a lot of ****ing fun to drive.

Parts coming straight from HUMMER have free shipping, it doesn't matter if its a marker light or a frame rail. Some sellers will try and gouge you shipping, but the straight ones don't.

It is not gonig to be my daily driver, I bought a Land Rover Disco 4 as soon as GM decided to close down Hummer and my plan was to use my H2 mostly for offroading ,but this offer got me thinking.
Parts wise it's hard to find them for either of them here in Europe and since most of the dealerships have closed and GMs main importer went bankrupt I think that as of today my H2 has no warranty.

I think its a terrible offer. Instead have that guy contact me. I have an '03 that is a way better trade for the guy with the H1!

lol. Seriously your truck is worth close to $60K right now. H1 pricing is all relative but if you are going for stritcly offroad and dont care about maintenance costs get the H1.

and Seriously I am open to an H2 for H1 trade right now. I am ready for the next step.....

I'd rather have an H1, but that not as a daily driver.
