FIRST POST / NEW MEMBER: I ordered my Boulder Grey w/ Adventure + Luxury a week ago. Reading all the posts makes it tough to sit and twiddle my thumbs while the clock ticks. Wish I had a cousin at the Shreveport plant that could “conveniently” place my paperwork on the top of the stack. Thanks to all contributors of this forum for great insight on features. Circumvented the showroom floor salesmen and dealt straight with the Fleet Manager. Got a sweet deal at $500 over factory invoice, including ALL accessories (DVD touch-screen Nav, custom 12-CD changer, yadda yadda, sis boom bah). Snowed over a foot here in Yosemite Valley today . . . white, fluffy, just beggin’ for rubber. Hoping for sunshine soon. Want to put my touring kayak on top of the H3 and head for some local alpine lakes this spring in the Sierra Nevada. Will be looking for forum assistance with roof mounting brackets soon. But for now (yawn . . . stretch) it’s hurry up and wait . . . . zzzzzzzzzz

Thanks, Sewie. Dealer told me today the plant begins production on mine next Tuesday. With any luck, might take delivery in 5 weeks. Nice reservoirs in your neck o' the woods for flatwater kayaking: Calero, Lexington, Crystal Springs all not far from you.

Yeah, I'm about 10mins from Calero. But I'll trade you locales anytime.

When you get your truck be sure to look up the NorCal group. Great group to wheel with.

I feel ya man, all I need to do is sell my land rover and I'm ready to buy. But it would seem that selling my Rover is a bit of a pain in the ass. I have every loser on the planet calling me.

Sounds like a nice really loaded H3. Should arrive just in time for spring.

I just got back from short Tahoe trip, a lot of snow over passes on highway 50 and 88. Should be good spring skiing.

Thanks, man. That shot is of El Capitan and the Merced River. I took it on March 4th. Lots of snow here the last few weeks.

Yep. Michael Hummer on Blackstone in Fresno. Two hour drive from here in Yosemite and the closest Hummer dealer. You close by?

Thanks for the tip on the NorCal group. Just visited the web site. Moab sounds like a great run. Good friend of mine used to live there. The slick rock is awesome between the Green River and Colorado River. Check this out: Moab 4wd Trails

That drive on 88 is awesome . . . I dig Silver Lake. Check out the Jeep Trail where the red triangle is marked on this topo map. I haven't driven it, but it looks nice:

I have zero experience 4-wheeling and was thinking something like Hollister would be wise to whet my whistle on first. However, September is a ways off. I'll have 4 months under my belt by then. Do you need UCP to run Deer Creek? Because I didn't order it.

My truck was 3 weeks old when I ran Deer Valley. And I had zero experience.

What I would recommend is this. Esprit de Four runs a 4 wheel drive safety clinic. I HIGHLY recommend it. Not only are they great people, but you will get an enormous education on things you would never even think of.

Then, Sewie, the Green Lantern, MarkM and I try to get to Hollister once a month. There is also the Hummer X Club and the NorCalHummer Group. (I wheel with both) They both have monthly runs.

You are always welcome to join....anyone is for that matter. We even let Racer-X come on the last run
No one want to break their rig, and we don't want you to break yours. We watch out for each other. We are all still learning.
