Ok, Im right in the middle of my XM radio installation and im down to hooking up the 2 yellow power leads (1 from the tuner and one from the adapter)? Call me dumb but where can I hook those wires up so they get constant juice. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I dont want to burn down my Hummer.

Don't know anything about electrical matters but in planning my system I'm planning on tapping into Cig Lighter leads. Don't know if it is safe or even possible though I was looking for suggestions.

I hooked mine up to the cig lighter that I do not use. The one behind the shifter. It works fine and I have two phone chargers plugged into the other two.

Dude,

All you had to do was PM me a number to reach you at and I would have explained everything in detail.

Did you get my antenna message??

Patriot,

I did get the antenna message. I attached the yellow hot leads to the orange on the cig liter. Can I hook that ground to the black ground on the cig liter?.

I used the cig lighter ground and power (both).

I get a small amount of hiss (alternator) that you can hear only during dead air or in between stations.

If you do put it there and have a prablem, you can always run a seperate ground wire to a more preferred location.

Touch,

I used both the "positive/juice" and "negative/ground" cig lighter wires.

Touch,

Here is a thread with a little info. It also hasa link inside the thread for removing the center console. If you do a search, there are a few others you may get some other tid-bits from. It went very easy.
