No, you have to always use the same dealer, forever. It's in your contract.

Hummbebe... You can go to any dealer that you want to. Dealers love to steal service business from other dealers. BUT... If your selling dealer offers you a "loaner for life" when your H3 is in for service... The new dealer may not honor that.

All I can say is I have noticed a marked difference in how my Dealer treated me, v.s., how a certain Salt Lake Dealer treated me.
Left Moab with a desire to tell my dealer to shove it.
They, the Service Manager, the Parts Manager, and the Shop Manager, didn't even call or follow up w/me after I let him know what happend.
The SLC dealership was awesome. Shipped the parts...no questions asked, right to the shop.
My dealer told me to call them back when I got my "ducks in a row"

Yes, you can.
Not only that, but you can give your old dealer the finger by filling out a customer satisfation survey that comes in the mail after you have had warranty service. GM would be all over them.
There are many ways to fuk over your dealer if they give you crappy service.

Get your ducks in a row? WTF? I'd be telling them to lick your Pee stained bumper. (Adam did that BTW).
Becasue of service, I stayed away from two dealers here in Denver and went to the Springs to do my business. They take care of me very well there. before I left for Moab, they said to call them if I needed anything while i was there.
After you get your ducks in a row, I'd shove them up there azz's.
BTW- my dogs got Adam back for you. ...with a little help from me.

No reason at all you have to stay with any specific dealer. Everything at our dealership is based on customer satisfaction. We actually have several people that drive 200 miles to have their trucks worked on here. They have a dealer in their home town if they (have to).

The following advice is not specific to Hummer, or even vehicle dealerships in general, but generally, I have gotten good results by writting an assertive, but not angry, letter to a company's corporate office. You don't want to come off like you have a hair trigger and errupt at the slightest disrespect or inconvenience. Just explain in a reasonable tone how, on the one hand, you had subperb confidence-inspiring, goodwill-creating service from the SLC dealer - provide specifics - and then explain how the local people alienated you by treating you otherwise. Explain that the difference is so great that you would consider driving more than 100 miles to go to SLC for major service or if a family member wanted to buy a 2nd Hummer. There is a good chance that Hummer's survival instincts will cause them to take notice and and realize the the SLC dealership is probably putting a btter face on Hummer than the local one, which can affect both new sales and customer-loyalty sales. Once, and if, Hummer contacts the local dealership, you might get some better attention. If nothing else, it gives you a chance to render justice.
BTW: One of the reasons I think that this will work in the Hummer situation is how much pressure I got from my dealer to fill out the survey with the highest marks - they were absolutely petrified of Hummer thinking that they were doing a mediocre job with their product.

Bebe, Park Royal is my dealership. They used to be great but they underwent ownership change and my service has been crappy ever since. They lost most of their good mechanics. I know the head of the Hummer dept posts here, but sorry, just telling it how it is.
I've heard winkle is a very good shop. Infact I think Rod Hall Racing is involved with them somehow. Thats a long drive for service but may be worth it. BP knows them well, call and ask him for more info.
I refuse to deal with Fitzpatrick ever since we bought a Tahoe from them (faxed a copy of check). They called the morning we were to pick it up and said it had been sold to someone else, give them a couple of days to get another in white. I reluctantly went back when I was desparate for an H2, they pulled the same crap - Make the deal and then tell me they need to keep it for 10 days to put in sun valley mall. Thats when I went to what was then Team Hummer.
BTW, my best friend was a GM mechanic (now works on Rovers). He tells me bad surveys NoMoGMPG guy is talking about really screw them with GM. Ever get a letter from the dealership asking you to fill it out "100% satisfied" Theres a reason for that. I think it even effects cash flow.

I can't wait to get the survey for my H3 purchase. I liked the Hummer dealership but their finance people suck. I've been lied to WAY too much and I've only owned the H3 for 2 weeks today.

The real deal goes over in the little finance room, not necessarily on the showroom floor with the sales reps' figures. The Finance guy even turned the computer screen toward me, like the computer never makes a mistake. But my little laptop said his big ole computer was $300 wrong, upon which he admitted the "mistake" in his calculations.

SV Hummer in Los Gatos is where me and BP go. They have been better than other dealerships I've dealt with in the past but I've had some problems with them. Basically, they are the most convenient for me plus I bought mine there.
They are supposed to be building a huge dealership in Milpitas with a test track, etc. That will actually be better for me when it opens. Hopefully the service dept. will be up to snuff.
