Stone Guards on my Fogs
Did alittle mod on my fog lights. They are 6 inch slimlight guards I cut down to fit. Cant believe the fit ,,they wedged in between the bumper and light lens. Be interesting to see if they stay, but there real tight in there. Thinking about moving the square bumper guard lights up to my roof rack and getting round 6 inch slim lites on the guard. Square and round together in the same area kinda brings da suk. Now I guess Ill wait and see if they melt. Notice the crowning on the tires due to the 35's. Want new rims bad.Must have,, need now !!

Re: Stone Guards on my Fogs
Hey, I wanna do that, looks nice! I have to find something similar without the big "KC" logo, not a big fan of advertizing logos.

Re: Stone Guards on my Fogs
Hey GL Here's some logo free guards. I had to cut almost all of mine to fit. They pretty much looked like these before I started.. http://www.teakatoys.com/Hummer_H1_6...04-6029-08.htm

Re: Stone Guards on my Fogs
I just inserted them thru the front. When I was snipping the plastic I did just alittle at a time so I would have enough of the bars to wedge between bumper and lens. i ended up just leaveing a couple of them just alittle long so they could have more to bite , if that makes any since. I drove it and one of the two is alittle loose, so Im going to take them back out (easy) and put a couple of little pieces of 3M tape on a couple of key areas to hold them down alittle better. See ya Nascar, By the way, your rig looks GREAT

Re: Stone Guards on my Fogs
Cool idea! I ordered the 40 mil plastic film that adheres to the front of the headlights, turn-signals and fog lights. I have the same thing on my other cars and it works great. Rocks, brush and trail debris won't crack your lenses.

Re: Stone Guards on my Fogs
I cut the grill off the cover I used a dremel (light duty one) took about a hour.It would have been easyer and quicker if I had a more powerfull dremel.
I used 4 small pieces of outdoor 3M tape on corners to make sure it doesnt move.
(it snaps in there tight.)

Re: Stone Guards on my Fogs
I wanted a different look without spending $250.00 on new lights.
Very happy with the look of the guards.
I like the PIAA logo ,I did buy carbon fiber silicone wiper blades made by PIAA for the front wipers(2 -17 inch fit fine no issues) there
not available in carbon fiber for the back, i used regular PIAA's 12 inch.
My option B was no logo using a speaker cover and cutting it down.
Might be a good Idea for the green lantern or others who dont want the logo.
