Saturday night went first time with wife & three kids (7, 12, 13 y) to the drive-in (Pirates of the Caribbean) in the H2.
I am sad to say, now I know the H2 is not really made 4 that kind of entertainment...
At least not for the second row passengers and 4get about third row.
So the kids sat on the roof (another advantage of the Gobi ladder), where the view was much better of course. Any other experiences?
Ah yes, and what about our front seat-backs not reclining further than a 45 degrees (not so flat)?

Yeah JCJ...the H2 sucks in those areas you mentioned...but look at the positive side....you have an H2, a Gobi "Rocks" Rack, and you went to a great show, and you live in "paradise". Try doing that with West Nile Virus mosquitos all over the place here in Nebraska...you have to see PoC indoors here!

JCJ, I am sure Am GENERAL & GM had drive-in movie viewing in there DESIGN BRIEF when they started out. I'm sure the engineers got around the table and said "Well everyone don't forget about drive-in movie viewing from the second row seats, there are still a dozen or so drive-in movie screens left and we don't wanna make those folks mad" NOT

Hummerman, I hear you, but you forgot: "And let's especially please that ONE Hummer owner in Aruba, who refuses to install 9 DVD screens in his truck!".
That reminds me of suggesting a 10th spot for a 50 inch flat-pannel-screen: under the hood!
So instead of driving to the drive-in one can just open the hood...
But then maybe the plasma-screen might not withstand the heat.

Hummer Man:
We could sure use your expertise, if any,...but in 'not slamming' everyone on the Forum.
It just makes for poor light shining your way!
Let's try to be a bit less pesimistic towards other....otherwise hit the jeep trails!

We did like the movie, Joyce.
Too bad we had a little too much moonlight shining on the screen, the scenes being played already mostly in dim light.
So we'll have to check the moon calender before hand next time...
There weren't so many movie goers here either.
And we missed the post-credit scene!
They stopped the reel just then.
What happened? Or we'll wait for the DVD to come out. JCJ

People actually watch movies at the Drive-In??
We got a baby sitter this weekend so wifey and I could go to the drive-in.
But not to watch the movie!
Nothing sexier than an H2 with foggy windows.
He ain't heavy.....
He's ma HUMMER baby!

All the Drive-Ins around here closed down years ago, no more. Drive-In sure was an All American experience, glad my boys tried them; not the best in all around quality and comfort, but an experience. Wouldn't H2 be too high to block others' view?

I have been wanting to take the H2 to the drive-in. My wife has been nagging me weekly about it. We still have one open out here. Its been so long I wonder if the snack bar has improved since 1987? HAHA!! BIG-C
