Does anyone have any complaints about how far the front seats recline? I recently drove up to NYC from Charlotte and my first "long blink" was my que to pull over into the rest stop and take short nap. As I tilted the seats back to stretch out, I was surprised to see that the seats stopped at about a 45 degree angle. On any car that i've owned, I have been able to get the seat down as far enough to get the headrest touch the rear seat.
Does anyone know of a way to get that seat to lean back farther than it does currently?

Thanks in advance!

I asked the same question and did not get one reply...with all of these Hummer Experts in the forum I would think that someone has modified the front seats. I'm with you....I can not believe how little they recline. Anyone out there know of a fix????

Sniknuh,

I guess you and I are the only folks bothered by this.
My H2 is my everyday driver, and as of recent, its become the prefered car for road trips. I'm tempted to stop by one of the local upholstery and custome seat places to see what options I have.

Just climb in the back and fold the rear seats down. Nap time! I've been here a while and I can't remember anyone ever modifying the front seats go all the way back.

Nobody's buying this nap time BS.

Step up playa and tell us the real reason - You can't get yo street cred without yo Gangsta Lean. Chuuch.

Rap Dictionary

noun
gangsta lean

The way a person drives where they lean over to the passenger seat and get really low. "Digging the scene with a gangsta lean" -- N.W.A. (Gangsta, gangsta [1988]).

I faintly recall a recent topic where some kid had proposed putting in an air mattress in the back in hopes of rogering unsupecting young Kappas.

timgco,

I guess it is what it is... Both of our parents live in NYC so my wife and I will frequently hit the highway to make the trek for Charlotte N.C.
My wife is about 5 months pregnant and the ride caused her some grief. The bed option sounds cute, but with the spare tire and 3rd row out of the truck, you still dont have a lot of room to work with.

Longhorn:

Man, you aint right... Unfortunately I went from street cred to good cred a little too late in life to get the "pimp value" out of this vehicle. You'd have to be badder than SHAFT to talk your way out of an ass whipping after getting caught at a motel 6 with a big yellow H2 in the parking lot with someone that wasnt your wife

I, too, was a bit surprised when I found out that my H2's "reclining seats" didn't fully recline. It doesn't matter a flip to me because I never sleep in my truck, but any trip longer than an hour and my wife starts dozing, so she was the one that was disappointed.

Has anyone had any problems with their A/C? I ask because a friend of mine has a 2003 and his only complaint is that he's had his h2 serviced about 4 times and they've never been able to fix the A/C. My A/C is blowing nothing but hot air, and im hoping that i just need to get it recharged.
