COULD THIS BE A PROBLEM?

I've noticed w/ my 5-speed manual tranmission, that when I push in the clutch to shift, if the engine is reving at about 2-2500 RPM's it stays there until I let off the clutch! it seem's to me that the throtle cable might be sticking. or,
Is this normal. Should I take it in to have it looked at? (Probably the logical choice)!

I have that problem too .Dosen't happen all the time.Note there is no cable and I've been told it's a different reaction compared to cable accuation.I've had mine reprogramed once but it still happens.Please post how you make out if have the dealer look at it

I've noticed that it does happen only every so often! I think that I will have it checked out.

Jp, I wonder what you found, because this spoils my fun with the rig ,
the revs are "stuck" esp.when shiftin 2 to 3, it takes soooo long to drop to match the upshift..... It been happening on ALL 2-3 upshifts so far...

If the DBW reaction could be re-programmed, I?d have it done ASAP...

Mine does that some... seems like more on cooler mornings when I don't let it warm up for a few minutes. But then again I'm out on leave from the nut house.

Gm says :
" It is not recommended to place the transmission in neutral while moving at speed or during prolonged coasting while coming to a stop. The vehicle should remain in gear for maximum vehicle control. This could include lower gears for engine braking on deceleration. The clutch should also remain engaged unless the vehicle is stopped or during shifting."..... Thats from Bulletin #PIP3825.....

That?s right, but what I meant is that during the upshift the revs fall very slowly, so that before engaging the clutch again the truck loses momentum...
