Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on winch/bumper grille units.

Re: steelcraft brush grille/winch mount unit
I have the Steelcraft brushguard/winch mount on mine. I have a Milemarker 9500C winch with 100ft of 3/8 inch synthetic line. It has been in place only since July 5th. I've given it a couple of workouts with no issues. Pulls strong and stays straight.

I got the same now for a year. Went on easy. It was only about $500 a year ago!

I think it's still around $605 (shipping to KC) at Angry Iron. This is the brushguard that I'm thinking about getting probably in the spring.

Re: steelcraft brush grille/winch mount unit
It really does not make much difference in approach angle. I have not hit mine yet. Probably will. If it hangs a little I will just back up and hit it at an angle or if really bad for other reasons just winch. But using that for an excuse not to get a winch and let others winch you out will not fly with the crowd I run with. Run what you brung!

Re: steelcraft brush grille/winch mount unit
It adds length to the vehicle nose, and with the roller fairlead, it might change the angle slightly.
When using synthetic line with an aluminum fairlead, you get added length but no change in angle that I can see. The lower bumper is first to touch.

Re: steelcraft brush grille/winch mount unit
Even with the added length above the lower bumper you have to be almost standing on your nose to hit and that roller pushed by 5000+ is not what is going to stop the H3!
