Default billet tripple plated chrome

Just wondering if tripple chrome plated billet would ever rust or pit?
also i live in PA so the winter salt would be a concern too. Also can anyone recomend a good stainless steel chrome cleaner that reduces scratch marks on stainless steel. I heard there were products out there that can do this.
thanks
Bruce

Living in Pa, there is nothing that would keep the amount of salt they put on the roads here from killing your chrome. buy a spare set of rims that everyone on here are selling, powder coat them and keep the chrome for the summer

My chrome here in California even gets pitted. Maybe the salt air?

Chrome is the summer, stock in the winter is the only way to beat it...
