Default Sub-Woofer

I have the Bose 6 disc system with no nav. My question is did all of the Hummer H2 Bose systems come with a sub-woofer and if so, where is it located? My system has a noticeable lack of bass and I wonder if it might be blown.
Also my passenger side rear pillar speaker is out. Does anyone have an extra one they would like to sell?

the sub ( 6 inch) is located either in the dash, or in the center console area.

i know it is there.. i can feel the bass, but i have not personally seen it with my own eyes.

as for a replacement speaker. i am gathering aftermarket replacements for all my speakers. so if you dont mind waiting, i might have one for you. i dont have a ETA on it right now.. still looking for which components for the front i want to put in.

Its located in the dash/console area below and infront of the shifter, its a pretty good size enclosure.

Thanks...that would be great! I've been working on my own car's sound since about 1979. My first victim was a 1977 Black Cutlass Supreme with Jensen 3 Ways. Not really interested in upgrading the sound in my 2005 H2 just yet. I got it in Feb. So I'm still exploring everthing.

Any idea on how I would access it?

you would most likely need to remove both the center dash which means you also need to remove the center console too.

If you find my thread in this section I have a write up about adding a sub on my 2008.

Are you looking to remove the entire enclosure? If so then you will have to remove the entire console from the truck, if you simply need access to wires then you can remove the side panels from the front console area (in the footwell area).

I can tell you that adding a sub to the factory Bose yields some amazing results, I have a couple of friends one of which has an escalade and the other an H2 that spend ALOT of money redoing the entire system...... for the difference in what was spent I just dont see the same difference in performance other than sheer volume which is too loud to sit inside the vehicle.
