FYI Diagnosis of Creaking and Thumping Noises
I was out 4x4-ing last weekend and a noise developed. It seemed to be under my feet and being transmitted to the frame and body.
It felt like a loose bolt somewhere or a loose shock bolt. It wasn't coming through the trans shift lever or steering wheel? After watching the suspension it was obvious it wasn't the shock bolts. It seemed to happen in opposing wheel situations.
After looking under the truck for loose or broken things all I could figure was to tighten the body mount bushing bolt below the drivers side feet. I turned the 18mm bolt about 1 turn and so far no more creaking noises?

Good call. About month after I got my 07, I started hearing (and feeling) a clunk under my feet on sharp turns with a bump or dip in the road. Turns out the e-brake cable was caught between the body and frame from the factory, and it was getting looser every time I wheeled. Took it in and tech relocated the cable and tightened everything back up. No more clunk but now the e-brake cable squeaks under the driver door.

I'll check the brake cable too.

Re: FYI Diagnosis of Creaking and Thumping Noises
Hey Dan,,, I had a rear leaf spring break on me. It was broke right were it curls around mount, It made some clunking noise till it finally spit out the broke curled part of the leaf. You can check by eyeballin that area and more importantly running your fingers around curled part of leaf and checking for cracks on the leaf. Mine had solid rust at the break site so I drove it that way for quite awile, Just a thought,, see ya

Thanks Starsnbars
I wish the rear leaf springs had a double wrap and both ends in case of main leaf breakage

Check your exhaust manifold heat cover, sometimes that bolt comes loose.
