On the H3's I noticed the rear fenders get a lot of mud and dirt and rocks and stuff. Which leavs it exposed to chipping. Ive even with muds it doesnt help. i wouldnt put mud flaps on anyway. Anyway i was just wondering if anybody has any tips tricks or advise on how to improve this. I heard of 3M scotchguard. and i do have some but cant put in on because its in the middle of winter here in PA.

So does anybody have any advise on how to fix this ploblem.
Thanks
Bruce

use these find button and look for
"Mudflaps" "mud flaps" "3M" "Fender"

you'll find a bunch of stuff.

Ok, I was gonna ask a similar question about the clearmask type products and have searched the forums, but nobody has really given a long term evaluation of the product. Does it work? Fit? Yellow? Fall off? Rip the paint right off? Anybody? Bueller?

Don't have the 3M on my H3, but I did have it on the front end of my Vette, and when I traded in my Vette, that was one remark from the dealer, it was the first Vette with almost 40K in miles, and over two years old, that had NO stone chips on the front end.
I told him to take a close look, it was only then than he noticed the 3M coating. Told him if they wanted, they can take it off in about two minutes.
So, it does work, and I do plan on having someone install it on the front of my rear fender flares sometime in the spring.

I put on the stock gm mud flaps.I didnt want them either but i coudn't take the kick up.I think the gm ones r the best cause they match the bumper color and texture. To instal them requires some drilling but those areas i decided to put gray 3m tape. So the way i did it enables me to take them off in the summer if i choose to but i probably wont cause they r groing on me.But i left myself with the option.P.S. Had them on for two months and they arent going anyware. The other parts that i didnt tape used the existing push clips in the wheel well.

I'm replacing my GM mudflaps with Husky. The GM flaps do not do a good job. Hopefully, the Husky ones, which are a bit larger, will help.
