Aftermarket SC install/warranty will be up to each individual dealer, ask your local dealer when there is a SC avaliable for the H3

I've never heard of a dealer NOT voiding a warranty after a SC install (on affected parts)...I've also heard (and read in the H2 forums) that a lot of people have trouble w/ the H2 SC after a few months...

My local hummer dealer said that they will be offering as SC in about two weeks. They said that if they install it your warranty will remain in tact.
But then, my local dealer has been known to be full of bs.

My dealer said that GM is working in a SC for the H3 already, they didn't have an ETA but they said that it would be available, as well as an exhaust system upgrade.

H3builder says that engine mods have been put off for a couple years for something that will come out that is better. He builds them and gets first hand knowledge so I would listen to Him before dealer. Dealers will tell You anything. There is a aftermarket supercharger right now ask them why they have not brought it in to install for You. Just for Your benefit the SC I have heard has had problems so it is not as popular as first thought it would be. something to do with the inline 5. Not sure but, there is one out already.
I would advise You put questions to H3builder. He hept this site up to date up till release of first rigs of line. I would not wan to see istake made because of dealer promise.

I wasn't talking about a factory I5 with a supercharger, I was talking about a SC Kit that GM will add to it's accessories line... if there is an aftermarket one available, I don't see why GM would not come up with one too...
What do you think H3Builder?

I haven't heard of supercharging, but there was talk of turbo I5 like the H3T, but I think that's out also. I don't think you'll see anything out of the factory with more power until the Alpha comes out. Now GM high performance and racing parts may come up with something you could use for the I5.

I'm developing a turbo for a Colorado which is basicly the same engine. Trying to get it done asap as My dealer wants them to install or send them to a shop to install. He is going to let Me have an H3 to see what changes need to be made for it to fit H3. Will let everyone know when We have it and the proper tuning also make sure any bugs are worked out. I do not want to send somebody something that has not been run for a few months on the Colorado 2005.

Sounds interesting... would you offer any kind of warranty?

We will offer a warranty. That is something We are trying to figure out by looking at other forced induction warranties. But, will try to do as nice a warranty as We can.

I just drove the H3. I can now affirm that my Prius will smoke it. There will be a demand for a turbo and it will sell well if it is priced right and performs without problems.

I have heard of the delaer installed turbo offering as well. I also heard something about a TDI diesel being offered in a couple years.

What do you think H3Builder? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Usually an aftermarket company develops the product, then sells it through GM as an Authorized Product, or whatever the heck they call it. Just like SMA products that are sold and installed on so many H2's, GM did not develop those accessories. However, dealers do install and warrant them.
I bet GM did not develop the SC kit for the H2, but you can be sure they'll want to capitalize on this H3 as much as possible. But they'll still use and aftermarket company unless it becomes available from the factory.

I have an appointment to have a cold air induction kit fitted Monday morning at a place called Pro Dyno in Tempe. They're adding a few other goodies as well, they've set up a nice package for me. They're telling me more HP and better MPG.
