Default Re: winch

Milemarker. Hydraulic or Electric - doesn't matter.

I run a MileMarker 10,500lb hydraulic winch on mine.

If you get it from anyone, make sure you get it from Shawn Smith at Angry Iron Offroad. He will make sure that you get the proper winch bumper mount for it. The Hydraulic has a different set of mount holes than the electric (thanks to MileMarker changing their electric winches to a different batch) and Shawn will make sure you're set on that regard.

I like the Milemarkers only because their winch bumper is flush and doesn't interfere with the approach angle. Also make sure you (at some point in time) convert over to synthetic line and a Hawse (non-roller) fairlead.

Hope this helps!

Mile Marker. I run a hydro and like it alot, though it is broken right now. Either way I would reccomend a MM hydro. Oh and a new power steering system w/ upgraded components if you do go that route.

I have a similar model to the one spoken of below that I would like to get rid of. If anyone wants her let me know, but you will have to come and get her FU(KING car OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY. The specs are as follows: 21 years old, 5'7 125 lbs, 36DD, blonde, unfortantly she has the speaking capabilites.

Do you know where you are going to get it from??? Or what type you are getting yet? If you are looking to purchase it locally I would highly reccomend Moose's 4x4 up in Hartford. I was up there a couple of weeks ago to talk about tire options, and I really liked the guy. They also have an installer there and I would not hesitate for a second to have their mechaic wrench up my truck (and I'm picky), I talked with the mechanic for a while and he really knew his stuff.
