Gas Siphoned
Well, it has finally happened .. I had half a tank of fuel siphoned from my H2 this afternoon ... full daylight ... in a busy area, between 2:45pm and 4:15pm. I'm talking about approximately $70.00 worth of fuel. I looked at my gas guage when I first got into the H2 this morning (half-tank) .. drove 4 miles to visit my parents. When I came out my low fuel light came on. I thought maybe because I was parked at a steep angle (hilly here). When I evened out, the fuel gauge wouldn't even show how much fuel was left .. just "low fuel". Who in the world would chance siphoning in the middle of the afternoon?!?! H2Finally, be careful ... this happened in RPV.

Well, obviously not. I had never heard that, RYD. When I had called the dealer back after buying my H2, I had asked about the locking fuel cap vs locking fuel door ($$). He even discussed the chances of anyone siphoning here would be nil .. of course, this was in March before fuel prices skyrocketed. Now I'm going to look into the locking fuel door. GM didn't make a locking fuel cap for the H2.

Re: Gas Siphoned
That's a damn shame, but then again I can't imagine being in the "I have to siphon gas for money" business, that's bottom of the barrel.

Re: Gas Siphoned
We put one of the locking doors on when we first got our H2. I'm sorry that happened to you.

Re: Gas Siphoned
That sucks a$$! I put on the locking fuel door cause i thought it looked a whole lot better than what was there...but after hearing this, i see it was a good investment above and beyond the esthetic improvement.
I had the center caps stolen off my wheels a few months back. Nothing more disturbing than coming back to your vehicle only to find something's not right. People who steal **** SUCK!!!
Sorry to hear this happened to ya!

Re: Gas Siphoned
Better check underneath for holes in your gas tank. Been some stories around here of high sitting SUVs getting a 10 gallon oil change pan slid underneath and theives drilling right into the tank to drain the gas. Cost is lost fuel plus $300-500 for a new tank.

I'd rather they just open the cap rather than poke a hole in the tank though.
